Black & White is a timeless photographic expression.
Students will focus on the understanding of lights and shadows, tonalities, contrasts, shapes, form and texture.

Although students will be working with the digital media, they will be given a crash course on the traditional practice of film processing and wet darkroom printing.
We will be re-interpreting Ansel Adam's Zone System to help students master the art of black and white shooting.

There will also be a great deal of emphasis on mastering photoshop techniques to achieve the same darkroom effects in black and white printing.
