Led by Stefen Chow, adventurer and photographer who have climbed Everest and shot for many international magazines, this will be an intense photography workshop that will push your creative limits. It's also a great opportunity to hone your photography techniques and sense of aesthetics. Join us in this photographic challenge to capture visual stories of Beijing.

About Stefen Chow
Stefen's love for photography started in a way unlike any other - while conquering the peak of Mount Everest!
Since then, through his camera and eye, Stefen has explored the stories of ancient yet changing city of Beijing, the streets of New York, the hidden world of Hasidic Jews and many more.
Nikon recently named him the Singapore Nikon Professional from 2009 to 2012. Stefen has worked with the world's biggest media organizations such as Associated Press, Bloomberg News, the Wall Street Journal, China Foto Press, Asian Geographic magazine, Singapore Press Holdings, Keppel Corporation and Shell International.

10:00 - Gather at Hutong Hotel - registration & administration
10:30 - Introductory Lecture by Stefen
11:00 - 1st Practical Session
Participants will learn to photograph under natural lighting conditions, positioning, framing techniques.
12:30 - Lunch break
14:00 - 1st Critique and Feedback
15:00 - Workflow Techniques, Photoshop
16:00 - 2nd Practical Session: shoot & edit
19:00 - Dinner
20:30 - Lecture by Stefen - Capturing Moments
21:30 - 2nd Critique and Sharing

8:30 - 2nd Morning Lecture and Assignments by Stefen
9:00 - 3rd Practical Session
Participants will be asked to work on a certain theme in this shoot. They will shoot, edit and upload the assignment onto server.
12:00 - Lunch
13:00 - One on one session with Stefen/ editing & photoshop of practical session
Participants will need to bring 10 of their best work, and Stefen will do a one on one feedback and consultation.
16:00 - 4th Practical Session
19:00 - Dinner
20:00 - Lecture by Stefen - Art of Seeing / Summary of Participants' Works
21:00 - End of Workshop
Accommodation
Group-sharing (four-to-a-room) on the night of September 4 will be provided for participants. The purpose of this accommodation is to help participants keep their belongings safe while they are out shooting. It is also for participants to wash up and take quick breaks.
Staying over night is optional and no rebate is provided if participants choose to return home to sleep instead.
Instructors will be staying overnight as discussions and interaction are expected to last while night, beyond scheduled class hours.
