Your digital SLR is great at capturing average exposures. But who wants average? The human eye is capable of seeing much more than the camera can capture. But you should expect more from your camera, and get photos that are closer to what you remember seeing.
Using the simple theory of High Dynamic Range imaging will allow you to create images that more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real life. You’ll recapture the highlights and shadows that were there when you shot the photo. We’ll teach you how to spot a great HDR opportunity, and how to employ the simple techniques to recreate the image you have in your memory.
This day-long course will teach you the basics of how HDR works, and show you some examples of photographs that are impossible to achieve without the methods you’ll learn. You will learn about creating single-frame HDR and multiple-frame HDR images. Then we will venture out into picturesque Beijing (during the best light) and practice what we’ve shown you in your own photography. We will break for dinner, and then we will return to base and process the photos from the day into HDR masterpieces.
