Beginner's Photography Class on Saturdays

(on the first and third saturdays of every month)

10am - 3pm


 

 

Overview

This foundation class helps our students understand the fundamentals of photography:

  • camera handling
  • digital workflow
  • principle of photography
  • visual aesthetics


In this one-day (5-hours) workshop, participants will learn through a balanced syllabus of lectures, practical shooting, homework assignments, critiques and reviews.
The workshop is taught on three-parts (in a single day)

In part ONE (theory), participants will focus on understanding how their camera makes exposures. Time will be spent discussing various methods of using your camera, and when to apply different techniques.

In part TWO (practice), Time to practice. We will go around taking pictures, yeah! During practice, our instructor will provide further training on camera operations, including using flash. Advice on composition and photo aesthetics will also take place.

part THREE, we will focus on a review and critique session to study what students have shot after part TWO. Students will also be introduced to image management work flow and simple editing techniques to improve their photographs.

Fees
1,000RMB per participant
(discounts offered for participants who sign up in pairs or in groups)

Note: We will request that participants pay their class fees at least 3-days in advance as every class requires a minimum of 3 participants to start.
If we do not meet the minimum required for a specific saturday's class, we would cancel that class and either refund your fees in full or offer you a further discount if you prefer to postpone your class to the next available date (two saturdays later)


Class Size
Minimum 3 participants to start a class.
Maximum 5 participants per class.
