What: "Transsexuals" - Black & White Photo-documentary exhibition

Why?
Why would one still shoot black & white films in this modern, colorful age of
digital photography?
Fashion photographer Lance Lee relooks at his past career as a
photojournalist with this retrospective exhibition "Transsexuals" - a
documentary project shot mostly on monochromatic films using leica
rangefinders between 2002 - 2005.
Lance shoots only digital for his professional work in fashion
photography. For the past five years, until recently, he has not
exposed a single roll of film.
On requests by students of Beijing Center of Photography, Lance has
recently started teaching traditional darkroom practices again. He
finds himself falling in love with Black & White photography all over
again.
With this exhibition co-organized with Leica Fans club, Lance is now
back to shooting more photo-documentaries with Leica film cameras. We
invite you to join this magical journey of rediscovering Black & White
photography with Leica Fan Club and Beijing Center of Photography.

The talks on May 29 & 30 are free-of-charge.
However, seats are limited and offered first to participants
interested to learn more about Leica cameras.
For the model shoot session, a nominal fee is charged to cover the
costs for models' time.
